We can help in the following areas:

  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a method of support that uses evidence based, non-aversive strategies to expand on the person’s skills and behavioural repertoire. It is based on learning theory and is person centred to ensure that each plan is individual to the person.
  • PBS is an intervention designed to improve social skills, communication, and functioning in individuals with developmental disabilities
  • A Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP) is a means of helping to reduce inappropriate or unacceptable behaviour by developing interventions that focus on strengthening and expanding appropriate behaviours.
  • Our Behaviour Support Practitioners assist people of all ages with disability, and their families.
  • Teaches alternative behaviour and changes the environment to support the person well.
  • We work with the person and those supporting them to promote positive behaviour change.
  • Helps people to live a more independent life.  for example, by developing communication skills and to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Aims to understand the reasons people display challenging behaviour, to ensure the new behaviour we want to teach is reinforced in the same way.
